Today marks the end of the 2-week travel with my parents.
As I accompanied them to the railway station early this morning, it felt like the typical farewell scene. Mom hugged me just before boarding the train, and at that moment, I was so gonna cry. Well, I managed to hold back my tears, waved with a smile, and watched the train leave till it was out of sight.
The streets were so empty. Instead of taking the bus, I decided to walk home. DAMN EMO CAN. It took me an hour to get back, which was exactly the duration to get to the airport. Dad msged me(:
Walked past mom and dad's favorite apple tree. It reminded of that particular day when dad tried to use a stick to shake the branch, while mom inverted the umbrella in her attempt to catch those falling apples. Hmm, I think I have pictures for that.
I'm home now, all alone. My parents had been here for a week, and they prepared every single meal for me. For the first time in my life, my mom cooked me rice with 3dishes and 1soup (san cai yi tang). And also for the very first time, dad decided to help out in the kitchen. Even though the meals were fairly simple, they tasted really awesome.
I wish they could stay longer. But I know the lil princess back home needs them more than I do. Moreover, it's brother's 25th and grandpop's 91st birthday tmr. Naise.
Still, I'm glad mom and dad came. Its 2 weeks of fun and love that I'll never forget.
mom and dad i miss you
