Day 1 in Lund was pretty much what i had anticipated - shagged to the max [STTM]. It was arrival day for all international students as such, we had to queue for almost everything. On top of that, factors like the 12hour flight, airport transfer, 2x freaking heavy luggage and continuous rain further contributed to my STTM experience.
After checking in to the Ikea-like apartment, i showered and hit the sack. Here i would like to thank NANI! for cleaning up the house, i reallyyyyyyy appreciate it :D
In just a week, we attended swedish classes, wandered around Lund, bought our bikes, tried x-stor kebab, visited Malmo, checked out prices at different supermarkets and inevitably piled up our war supplies. In short, we spent A LOT.
Speaking of Malmo, there was some sorta festival going on so yeah, that was cool. food wise, it was awesome; just not much of shopping since most, or almost all shops are closed on sundays.

some facts about swedes:
1) they dont pay for their education. they got paid to study instead.
2) they are friendly and extremely helpful; they speak really good english btw. (fact that they understand us better than the americans)
3) most people in Lund cycle. its hard to find obese people. furthermore, its eco-friendly.
4) they are blessed with good genes - almost everyone is beautiful.
5) they have cute recyling machines in their supermarkets. good job.
6) sweden is the city of Ideas.

What can i say? it sucks to be the minority. even though Lund is filled with friends of the world, the europeans tend to click better among themselves than to mingle with us, chinese people. it's really hard to break into their clique, then again, i never really tried. socialising has never been my forte, and i never believe that true friendship could be forged in a span of.. 4 months? so, is it really worth the effort getting to know hi-bye friends who will disappear from your life once you leave this place? okay, im just being skeptical. whatever.
i dont know. i admit, i dont befriend someone for the sake of befriending someone. in that sense, im selective. i dont care if you have 1000 friends when i only have 10, or less. my point is, its not about the number of friends you have, but the kind of friends you have.
is it really impossible to remain as friends once you break up with someone? what if your ex-boyfriend/girlfriend is also your bestest friend?
